Travel In The Right Direction

Pledge 2.jpg

Nobody doubts the effect that travel has on the traveller. Changing your horizon broadens your mind as it enriches your spirit, but that benefit shouldn’t be one sided.

Travel comes with inherent problems and they should not be ignored, there are steps that can be taken to limit some and offset others, and these options are improving all the time. They are important, but it ought to be more than just lessening the impact.

Tourism as an industry is vital to many countries, it supports an endless number of communities and there are many areas of huge environmental importance that rely on the right side of the travel industry to help them in their efforts against the tide of encroachment and exploitation from other industries with their own agendas.

My partners and I believe strongly that travel can and should be a force for good in the world, and not just to the traveller or the travel company.

Central to the beginnings and development of each company has been, and continues to be, a true love for their region - the people, cultures, character and of course the environments - and a belief that they are able to offer a better way to experience them.

Each destination and organisation have their own methods, priorities and targets, depending on their own responsibilities, and what that means for Asisten Travel, Cognoscenti Travel, Excursionist, Kudos Life Experiences and Windows To Japan can be found on their pages, but as part of Fuadan we all make the above pledges to help us to focus on how we can do it better.
